In Lyman, Wyoming lives a small public library offing reading and gathering spaces for the local community. Inspired by the regional agrarian vernacular, the use of exposed wood framing supporting sloped metal roofs acknowledge the neighboring barns, while the canted stone walls pay homage to the fieldstone fences dotting the surrounding landscape. Extensive use of high-performance, floor-to-ceiling glazing promotes a strong interior / exterior connection.

The community now enjoys a large auditorium space for public meetings, a dedicated computer and console gaming area for the young adults, and a fireplace in the adult reading area.
